Peter Alexander

(American, born 1939)

Artist Peter Alexander creates sculptures, paintings, drawings and prints that explore color relationships, form, and light. He is best known for his colorful, translucent geometric sculptures made from industrial resin, and his association with the Light and Space movement of Southern California in the 1960s and 70s.

Alexander received a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Fine Arts degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles. His artworks are part of the collections of many major museums and institutions.
