Dan Friday is a member of the Lummi Nation and a Seattle-based glass artist. He creates blown glass artworks that are strongly influenced by his indigenous roots and investigate modern techniques and forms. He has lived in the Pacific Northwest his whole life.
Friday studied at Pilchuck Glass School in Stanwood, Northwestern Washington, and at South Seattle Community College. He has worked for over twenty years with celebrated glass artists Dale Chihuly, Paul Marioni, and Preston Singletary, while also operating his own independent glass studio.
