ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Painter Melinda Thorsnes created her triptych painting Rick's Seafood Restaurant using intense, saturated colors. The imagery explores community and relationships, and Thorsnes states that the composition allows "each individual viewer the opportunity to become involved in the creative process by his or her own reaction to the work."

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Lynden School District.
