Late artist Jerry Scheideman created Through the Red using an enamel technique that produces textural surfaces in vibrant colors. This piece combines natural forms in rich hues.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Richland School District and Wenatchee Valley College.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Artist and sculptor Jerry Scheideman (1932-2003) created his compositions by painting glass-like enamel on steel panels.
Scheideman received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Idaho. He received a Master of Fine Arts degree from California College of the Arts and Crafts in 1959.
