ABOUT THE ARTIST
Minnesota-based artist Mary Diane Katsiaficas creates narrative artworks in a variety of media, from small-scale drawings to large installations.
Katsiaficas was born in Texas and is of Greek heritage. She is Professor Emeritus of Art at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Smith College in Massachusetts. She earned a Master of Arts in Teaching and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Washington in Seattle.
