ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Moon Struck is a richly colorful, energetic, and intricate abstract painting by artist Peter Juvonen. The piece investigates the effects of moon light and concepts of transparency, reflection, and motion. Juvonen notes that the forms are "influenced by birds, fish, and plant life as well as patterns and shapes found in our urban environment."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Bethel School District and Clark Collge.

Northwest artist Peter Juvonen creates abstract and figurative paintings and prints. His art is influenced by reading, travel, and his dreams. Born in Turku, Finland, Peter Juvonen lives and works in Port Orchard, on Puget Sound, Western Washington.
