ABOUT THE ARTWORK
July 24, 1979 is a landscape painting by Larry Gray. Like most of his paintings, it shows a small amount of land at the bottom and a huge expanse of moody sky. It gives us a sense of mystery, maybe even hopefulness or foreboding. Gray’s artworks are not of specific places, they are composites, but "the land is a primary influence."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Olympic College - Bremerton.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
