ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Late artist Jerry Scheideman created this abstract composition using a technique which produces textural glass-like surfaces in vibrant colors. Warm Rain combines abstracted forms in rich hues of rust and blue, foregrounded by stripes of negative space representing streaks of rain.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Sumner School District.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Artist and sculptor Jerry Scheideman (1932-2003) created his compositions by painting glass-like enamel on steel panels.
Scheideman received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Idaho. He received a Master of Fine Arts degree from California College of the Arts and Crafts in 1959.
