ABOUT THE ARTIST
Charles Christopher Hill is a Southern California artist and printmaker. His artworks from the 1970s are usually large, torn paper collages with stitching on them that he has made to look distressed or weathered. Hill explains "I have a minimal image on very complicated ground."
Hill received Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of California, Irvine in 1973. His artworks are in many museum collections including: the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art (New York City), the Centre Pompidou (Paris, France), and the Total Museum of Contemporary Art (Seoul, Korea).
