ABOUT THE ARTIST
Vida Hackman (1935-1999) was a California-based printmaker.
Hackman received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1956. She received a Master of Arts degree from California State University, Northridge in 1965. She received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1967. She served as an art instructor, lecturer and adjunct professor at many California institutions, including University of California at Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara City College, and California State University at Long Beach.
