ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Zion National Park No 4 was taken by photographer Neil McWee along the Zion River Narrows in Utah. This piece captures the depth, color and detail found in both light and shadow within the canyon. McWee sees his photographs of State and National parks as documents for future generations. He notes that his images help viewers understand how our parks hold "aesthetic, recreational, spiritual and educational value to the American society."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Department of Licensing.
