Wind Witches, 2020
Brian Borrello
(American, born 1958)
Location: Big Bend Community College, Moses Lake
ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The rounded twisting shapes of Wind Witches by Brian Borrello are inspired by the logarithmic spiraling within desert plants. The two sculptures are also an expression of the order and symmetry found in nature. The weaving traditions of this area’s Indigenous peoples are also loosely reflected in the artwork forms.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Big Bend Community College.
