Location: University of Washington, Seattle

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Artists and architects John Patkau and Patricia Patkau created the formally simple but visually complex Mirrorfold installation. The folded mirrors play with shifting perspectives. It highlights a dynamic sense of light, materials, and space. On the choice of this material, the artists note "mirrors are not passive, they change our spaces and they change ourselves." Mirrorfold is located on a central balcony overlooking Odegaard Library.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with University of Washington.
