Port Townsend, Washington-based artist Gloria Lamson photographs nature and creates sculptural installations using natural and found materials. Her temporary and site-specific installations often consider and engage the natural environment. She received a grant from Artist Trust to produce her artwork ‘The Island Project’ over the course of ten years on a remote island in Southeast Alaska.
Lamson studied fine art photography at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree. She received a Master of Fine Arts degree in Art and Consciousness from John F. Kennedy University in California.
