Ted Garner

(American | Standing Rock Sioux, born 1957)

Native American artist Ted Garner was born in Seattle, and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in sculpture from Kansas City Art Institute. He has served as an artist assistant to celebrated sculptors Mark diSuvero, John Henry, and Gabriel Orozco. His work has been collected and exhibited nationally. He has been the recipient of grants from the Joyce Foundation and the Warhol Foundation. He is a member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and is of Sihasapa and Miniconjou heritage.
