Lin Lipetz

(American, born 1928, died 2014)

Lin Lipetz (1928-2014) was a Sonoma, California-based artist, writer, and interior architect. She created fiber and ceramic-based sculptures.

Lipetz studied at Montana State University before completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in ceramics at the University of Washington in Seattle in 1950. She earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in sculpture from the University of Washington in 1968. She served as Founder, Director, and Instructor of Art at the Factory of Visual Art in Seattle from 1968 to 1978. She also helped establish the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art in the 1990s.
