Lanny DeVuono

Lanny Devuono is a Colorado-based artist and professor who creates paintings and drawings inspired by natural forms and phenomena. She serves as an Associate Professor of Art at the University of Colorado, Denver. Raised in the suburbs of Chicago, she has lived on both coasts, in East Africa, and Southern India. She moved to Spokane from New York City in the early 1990s, captivated by the landscape of the Palouse. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Antioch University in Seattle in 1980. She received a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from Mills College in Oakland, California in 1987. She received a Master of Arts in Teaching from Columbia University Teachers College in 1993.
