Lanny DeVuono

Lanny Devuono is a Colorado-based artist and professor who creates paintings and drawings inspired by natural forms and phenomena. She is a Professor of Art at the University of Colorado, Denver.

Raised in the Chicago suburbs, Lanny Devuono has lived on both U.S. coasts, East Africa, and Southern India. She lived in Spokane, Eastern Washington, in the early 1990s and was captivated by the landscape of the Palouse region. Devuono received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Antioch University in Seattle in 1980. She received a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from Mills College in Oakland, California in 1987. She received a Master of Arts in Teaching from Columbia University Teachers College in 1993.
