Alice Aycock is a sculptor and installation artist. She was an early participant in the land art movement in the 1970s. Her artworks combine architecture and mechanical fantasies with logic, imagination, magical thinking, and science.
She also teaches at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
Aycock received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Douglass College at Rutgers University in New Jersey. She received a Master of Arts degree from Hunter College, City University of New York. She has also taught at Yale University in Connecticut and served as Yale University’s Director of Graduate Sculpture Studies.
