Anna Valentina Murch

(British, born 1948, died 2014)

Artist and teacher Anna Valentina Murch (1948-2014) created architectural, site-responsive, and environmental installations that enriched and enlivened public spaces.

Born in Scotland, Murch attended the University of Leicester, Royal College of Art in London, and the Architectural Association in London (all in England), before moving to San Francisco in 1976. She taught at the San Francisco Art Institute, University of California at Berkeley, and Mills College in Oakland, California.
