Call for Artists: North Academic Complex at CWU

Central Washington University (CWU) and ArtsWA invite artists to apply for a public art opportunity at the new North Academic Complex (NAC) in Ellensburg, WA. The 108,000-square-foot NAC, now under construction, will serve as a vibrant academic and community hub featuring programs in Arts and Humanities. Highlighting sustainability and cultural respect, the building will incorporate geothermal energy and Yakama Nation-sourced wood materials. Both interior and exterior sites are available.

CWU acknowledges the Yakama Nation as the traditional stewards of the land and seeks art that reflects themes of welcome, collaboration, and belonging, while honoring Indigenous heritage and land stewardship.

Artists from the Pacific Northwest (U.S. and British Columbia) are eligible. Artists from the Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation and other Washington State tribes are encouraged to apply. Students and those with current ArtsWA projects are ineligible.
