About the Artwork
Artist William Woolston's winter landscape Thorn Creek balances the interplay of leafless trees, sunken creek, and wide open sky. He also captures the contrast of light and shadow. This piece is part of a body of work by Woolston that documents wheat harvesting and farming in the Palouse region.
