Photography

Over 10% of Washington's State Art Collection is artworks that use photography to some degree. These photographs showcase a variety of techniques, approaches, and artists. The majority of these artists are from Washington and Oregon. Our Collection includes mainly landscapes but also studies of people and moments and light. Photography documents the world around us but it also teaches us to see differently, and maybe even to look differently.
