North Cascades Evening Light was captured by artist Neil McWee in the Pacific Northwest's Cascade Mountains. The composition highlights the brilliant and majestic colors of sunset. This piece is part of the artist's body of photographs taken in state and national parks. He notes that these images were made for future generations to understand how our parks hold "aesthetic, recreational, spiritual and educational value to the American society."

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Lyle School District.
