About the Artwork
This photograph is part of artist Tyler Boley's group of tree-themed photographs. He captured this image in Okanogan County, Washington. He describes the body of work as an exploration of different ideas in landscape photography. He notes, "These involve a complex, interwoven and tightly packed sense of texture across the print, with various rhythmic, compositional and tonal ideas explored within that framework. An attempt is made during the printing to create a sense of tonal presence and integration rather than abrupt contrasts."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Washington State Patrol.
