About the Artwork

Tree Museum No. 2 is part of a series of photographs by artist Neil McWee taken at the Arboretum near the University of Washington. The title is inspired by Joni Mitchell lyrics from the song "Big Yellow Taxi." The series celebrates and advocates for the preservation and protection of state and national parks. Capturing the vivid colors of fall, this piece features a detailed patchwork of red, orange, yellow, and green Japanese maple leaves.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Bethel School District.
