About the Artwork
Artist Marilyn Halevi created Zoroaster III as part of her 'Grand Canyon' series of paintings. The cloudy winter landscape has a distinct mood. Halevi described how the variety of color and light created by the canyon at different times of day and year inspired her to create the series. Regarding this piece she stated, "I was especially fascinated by the contrast of the angular, bright and dark canyon forms and the light, soft, floating clouds interacting with one another."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Department of Social and Health Services.
