Morning Sun is part of artist Connie Ritchie's body of hand-colored photographs. She notes, "Reality is a subjective creation based on our own experience. Reality changes from one person to the next. My work allows me to play with the delicate balance between fantasy and reality."

About the Artist

Northwest artist Connie Ritchie creates hand-painted, still-life photographs that explore themes of life and death, identity, and nature. She received an Associate of Applied Science degree in Commercial Photography from Seattle Central College.
