Connie Ritchie composed and hand-painted After Work as an investigation into the narrative relationship of common objects. In this image she creates an implied story of routine that blurs the line between fantasy and reality.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Kent School District.

About the Artist

Northwest artist Connie Ritchie creates hand-painted, still-life photographs that explore themes of life and death, identity, and nature. She received an Associate of Applied Science degree in Commercial Photography from Seattle Central College.
