About the Artwork

Rain Dragon is an abstract, kinetic sculpture created by artist Roger Berry. It is comprised of a series of nine rain-collecting pans, which catch rain then tip forward to spill water in a cascading motion down the pans and rocks below.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Washington State Arts Commission.

About the Artist

San Francisco-based artist Roger Berry creates site-specific sculpture that relate to and interact with natural elements. Born in Chico, California, In 1972, He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in sculputre from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California.
