About the Artwork
The Innocent is part of artist Jennifer Stabler-Holland's body of work composed using graphic forms and contrasting colors to symbolize the conflict between man and nature. She notes that the white animal forms "symbolize the innocence lost in the natural world and the human world. In this particular piece the white animals are the innocent species losing their habitat to the constant infringement of humankind."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Bremerton School District.
