About the Artwork
Artist Connie Ritchie created a series of six hand-colored photographic murals to highlight Orting High School's past, present, and future. Sepia-toned family snapshots represent the past, brightly colored images the present, and black and white silhouetted images represent the future. The images are meant to inspire the Orting community to strive for their goals and to enjoy the process of learning and working. Many of the figures and silhouettes were taken of the school's students, parents, and teachers.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Orting School District.
