About the Artwork

Artist Margaret Ford created Buffalos Seek Shelter on a Winter's Night using glazed ceramic tile. The three-panel artwork features abstracted landscape imagery and a herd of buffalo. She used white negative space to create the look of snow on the ground.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Central Kitsap School District.

About the Artist

Seattle-based artist Margaret Ford creates ceramic sculptures. She studied under ceramic artist Patti Warashina at the University of Washington in Seattle. She has served as a visiting professor at Eastern Washington University in Cheney.
