About the Artwork

‘Experience the World Through Your Senses’ is a series of 18 hand-painted photographs by artist Connie Ritchie. The series celebrates how our five senses (sight, smell, sound, taste, and touch) unify us all and connect our experiences to our memories, imagination, sense of place, and community. 'Pointing' depicts the silhouette of a person. The artwork asks the viewer to imagine that person and to what they may be pointing. This artwork is installed near 'Moon' and 'Arch' as visual representations of memory and imagination.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Yakima School District.
