Artist Catherine Bridgen created Secret Place as part of body of work that seeks to express the mood and quality of light just before nightfall. She notes "my concern here is to evoke a scene of quiet beauty in a place that is away from human evidence".

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Office of the Attorney General.
