About the Artwork
Green and Yellow Dog is a manipulated photo-collage captured by artist Scott Aho. It is part of his body of artworks about dogs. He collaged the image by stapling together black and white photographs. He then painted the images with liquid watercolors. He notes, "More than anything, this piece is a stage for my exploration of colors. Being a fine art photographer in black and white for many years, color is something I've only recently been involved with, and this piece is an experiment in color relationships. I love the idea of Dalmatians coming in different colors, especially a yellow one wearing a little green coat."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Sedro-Woolley School District.
