About the Artwork

Morning Fog is a photograph by artist Earl Olsen. It was taken in the Olympic National Park, near Hurricane Ridge, northwest Washington. The artist notes, “Up early looking for the sunrise, I found the fog rolling in from the east. I liked the way the fog was moving up the ridge hiding most of the trees from view. I particularly like the tree in the center that seemed to be falling over while the others are standing straight and tall.”

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Elma School District.
