About the Artwork
The title of Michelle Lassaline's Saltwater Wake: Where do the logs go? painting adds an element -- logs -- to the imagery of churning water, that is not actually in it. Her paintings of nature are based on her close observations while walking, hiking, and canoeing. She often sketches and takes photographs on her outings that she uses to paint in her studio.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Department of Social and Health Services.
