About the Artwork
Aspire by Micajah Bienvenu is a kinetic sculpture that symbolizes the trifecta of Community, Faculty (and other school staff), and Students which make up a successful learning experience. It is made of three spirals whose shapes are based on formulas found in nature, such as the patterns of tree branches or antler prongs. The largest spiral rotates on a central point with wind or human power. And it is a support for the second-largest spiral, which is a support for the smallest spiral. The spirals all share the same base, but branch off from each other independently.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Deer Park School District.
