About the Artwork
Kim Brown's Just Let Looking Look uses images of a big blue sky and vivid green grass as filters on multiple windows, to encourage discovery and reflection. Benches made of Douglas fir stumps and a maple tree that is visible through a window's soothing imagery also aim to promote contemplation in the children who walk through those hallways. The artwork's plaque includes these words by the artist Kim Brown: "because after all, the bird outside / the person scurrying for shelter from the rain, / the leaves falling fro the tree, / the clouds passing by, / the sun penetrating, / are all great things."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Camas School District.
