Turn, Turn, Turn, 2005

Tina Hoggatt
American (born 1954)

Location: Winlock High School, Winlock

About the Artwork

Artist Tina Hoggatt designed the kinetic artwork Turn, Turn, Turn to take advantage of the brisk winds of Winlock, Southwestern Washington. The kinetic artwork also represents the school's active, youthful community. The wall-mounted sculpture has rotating parts. The outer circle represents the community and history of Winlock with etched patterns of pine trees, logging equipment, chickens, water towers, and trains, and vines intertwined throughout. The inner spinning wheel shows four active children. The yellow medallion at the top has flowers on one side and two childrens' heads on other side, and it spins like a weather vane.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Winlock School District.
