About the Artwork
Landscape #5 is part of artist Joe Max Emminger’s body of abstract landscapes. He uses lines, shapes, and areas of rich color to hint at perspective and natural forms. He notes, “I’ve used strong color and expressionistic lines to dramatize the chaos I see in nature.”
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with North Thurston Public Schools.
