Windows and Storylines II, 1998

About the Artwork

Windows and Storylines II is part of a series of quilts called "Windows and Storylines" by artist Jeannette Meyer. This series explores personal narratives and differing points of view. Meyer notes "windows, which both contain and frame stories, fascinate me." Created from hand-dyed fabrics, the textured and colorful surface was created using a reverse applique technique. In this process, elements are removed from the top layer, to expose a different layer of fabric underneath.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Granite Falls School District.
