About the Artwork

Artist Walter White created Fish Windvane in 1976, as a representation of a new direction in his metalwork, which had previously focused on "earthbound" functional pieces. This sculpture introduced new creative possibilities, incorporating motion and the ability to play with material, light, and silhouette.
