About the Artwork
Artist team Lilli Ann Killen Rosenberg and Marvin Rosenberg created the mosaic sculpture See Thru using concrete and glass tiles. They shaped it like an obelisk, or pillar, and topped it with a stylized bird form. They created the textured and carved surfaces using antique blocks from East India. These blocks were originally used to print fabric. In this sculpture, the blocks served to create detailed patterns.
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with West Valley School District, Yakima.
