The Tribal Cultural Grant is a non-competitive grant for Washington State federally-recognized Tribes.
Artist Shana Yellow Calf and Tribal Cultural Affairs are creating a new Tribal Cultural Roadmap to celebrate and promote Tribal museums and cultural locations across the state. Anticipated release date for the map is June 2026.
This project will produce an illustrated, trifold brochure and an online PDF. The map will feature Tribal museums and locations where the public can learn and connect with important cultural sites around the state.
About the artist: Shana Yellow Calf is an enrolled member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe. Her vibrant art style and experience with her own Plains heritage and Pacific Northwest Coastal influences make her the perfect artist for this project.
Collect trading cards: Guests can collect unique trading cards at each participating museum or cultural site! Each card will include a brief teaching about the Tribe.
