About the Artwork
Artist Thomas Prochaska captured an early summer scene in this painting. It depicts the pink house located across from his painting studio. The inviting composition features a red Doberman Pincher dog, who often kept watch from his neighbor's porch. Prochaska notes, "With the Doberman on the porch the friendly pink house became a menacing threat to my trip from studio to car or vice versa. I fear Doberman Pinschers. It's a friendly painting with a hidden fear."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with South Kitsap School District.
