About the Artwork
Crows Conversation is a watercolor painting by artist Linda Okazaki. Created in Port Townsend, Washington, she based the scene on the local environment. She notes, "The crow was easy to make contact with and spoke to me easily, like an old acquaintance."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Washington State Arts Commission.
About the Artist
Port Townsend, Washington-based artist Linda Okazaki creates narrative, landscape, and still-life paintings.
Okazaki earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts degrees from Washington State University in Pullman, Eastern Washington, in 1974. She was a member of Washington State University's Fine Arts Department for seven years. She currently teaches at the Port Townsend School of the Arts on the Olympic Peninsula in Northwestern Washington, where she also lives and paints.
