Michael Lindenmeyer
American (born 1950)

Location: Prosser High School, Prosser

About the Artwork

Artist Michael Lindenmeyer created Seattle Neon as part of a series of night scenes featuring neon lights. He created the works using crayons. This choice of material shows how humble materials can make quality art. It also reminds him of his first lessons in art. He based the imagery of this drawing on sketches of different neon signs he made while visiting Seattle in 1979.

This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Prosser School District.
