Levels of the Game, 1980
Victoria Adams
American (born 1931)
Location: Office of the Washington State Insurance Commissioner, Olympia
About the Artwork
Playing with tones and value, artist Victoria Adams created Levels of the Game by etching a zinc plate to different depths. She notes "The imagery is an abstraction of how organic planes that are side-by-side might reflect light and reveal their forms. The forms in nature might be rock faces, hanging icicles, drooping plants, or aerial views of lakes or mountains".
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Office of the Washington State Insurance Commissioner.
