About the Artwork
In a Glacier's Time is an installation of granite stones created by artist Steve Gillman. They are located in multiple places throughout Curlew High and Elementary School. Gillman notes, "I make things to be touched, to walk into, to sit on. They are made for lingering. They tell us something about the place. They speak of people or events or silence. They energize, they quiet."
This artwork was acquired for the State Art Collection in partnership with Curlew School District.
